Unlike highbush and Maine blueberry varieties, the Nordic wild blueberries for the I Like It CLEAN organic wild blueberry powder are not planted by hand. They grow wild in the depths of certified Nordic forests, far from industry, roads, and possible sources of pollution. Following sustainable harvesting practices, the berries are hand-picked at the peak of their ripeness between June and July, when the Scandinavian sun contributes up to 19 hours to the perfect level of ripeness.
In order to thrive in the harsh and cold environment, the significantly smaller and darker Nordic wild blueberries – compared to cultivated blueberries – contain large amounts of secondary plant substances called anthocyanins. This explains the high concentration of antioxidants and therefore the intense blue color. The bluer your tongue after consumption, the more antioxidants the berries contain!

The blueberries used in I Like It CLEAN organic wild blueberry powder contain up to 800 mg of anthocyanins per 100 g. This corresponds to 4x more berry power compared to cultivated blueberries and 3.5x more berry power compared to Canadian wild blueberries!

The wild blueberries are gently freeze-dried and gently ground to preserve the full active ingredient content and aroma. The natural vitamin content and the high fiber content are retained.
