Zinc from I Like It CLEAN contains 7.5 mg of elemental zinc (as a zinc sulfate compound) per recommended daily intake of 2 ml.
Zinc is an essential trace element that the human body cannot produce by itself. It is, among other things, essential for maintaining a normal immune system.
Zinc is of utmost importance for the organism. The human body contains approximately 4 g of zinc which is necessary for growth and the proper functioning of the metabolism. Zinc is contained in all organs as well as in erythrocytes (red blood cells) and leukocytes (white blood cells). Bones, skin, hair, nails, and the sexual organs have particularly high zinc contents.
More than 200 enzymes are now confirmed by science to be dependent on zinc: no other micronutrient is more important for enzyme formation. Enzymes are protein bodies without which many important reactions in the body would take place very slowly or not at all.
The main plant sources of zinc include lentils, yellow peas, white beans, and oatmeal.

The term “ester” describes a patented manufacturing process that produces an acid-free vitamin C with sustained release properties for a long-term supply of up to 24 hours.

The vitamin C metabolite contained in Ester-C® Plus increases the cellular absorption of vitamin C. The esterified form of vitamin C is also very digestible and particularly gentle on the stomach.

The effect of Ester-C® has been proven in clinical studies:

Ester-C®, which consists of calcium ascorbate, is a natural, non-acidic, water-soluble form of vitamin C that is characterized by the fact that it is better is absorbed by the body and remains in the immune cells for longer*. In addition, Ester-C® is characterized by a unique biological activity. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study, Ester-C ingestion resulted in significantly higher white blood cell vitamin C concentrations after 8 hours compared to standard ascorbic acid and remained elevated after 24 hours**.

The complex is rounded off by a mixture of rutin, OPC, organic rose hip, and organic acerola, which synergistically support vitamin C. Rutin and OPC belong to the group of bioflavonoids, which are always found in fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C. In nature, vitamin C never occurs in isolation, so a combination of vitamin C with OPC and other substances that support absorption, such as bioflavonoids, rose hips, and acerola cherry, is advisable.
